THE FACULTY RESOURCE PROGRAM

To participate a training program must be a member of IFTA and the Training Division. The goal of this program is to increase the availability of faculty to Training Division member programs in areas of the world in which family therapy training is hampered by lack of resources.

To participate, a training program identifies its need for a particular trainer and secures the agreement of that trainer to participate in the Faculty Resource Program.  In agreeing, the trainer contracts to offer the training free of charge in exchange for a travel expense stipend provided by the Training Division and home stay room and board provided by the recipient program.  The training program then files an application with the Training Division, stating their request for the identified trainer and training, the anticipated travel expense and the number of people who will be trained.  The program also documents its need for the assistance of the Faculty Resource Program.  These applications are reviewed by the Board of Directors of the Training Division.  Travel stipends are awarded on the basis of a combination of greatest need, greatest numbers served, and material to be presented.
